LAKEWOOD, Friday, MAY 29, 2020 -- The State driver license office at 4685 Peoria St., in Denver, was forced to close at noon on Friday due to a gathering of protesters at Denver Police Department's Precinct 5, located in the same building. The State opted to close the office and accommodate customers in other offices to keep customers and staff safe.

The office will remain closed through at least Sunday. Customers with appointments already scheduled in the office will be contacted and redirected to other offices for their service. Those customers will be seen for their appointments at any of the following offices:
  • Aurora: 14391 E. 4th Ave. Aurora, CO 80011
  • Northglenn: 11900 N. Washington St. Northglenn, CO 80233
