DMV2GO at the Cap: DMV to offer services next to state capitol Feb. 13

LAKEWOOD, MONDAY, Feb. 12, 2024 — Somebody tell the Colorado Legislature to move over because DMV2GO will be at the “Cap.”

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is pleased to announce DMV2GO will be at Lincoln Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 offering driver license and ID card services next to the State Capitol in downtown Denver.

This is DMV2GO’s first visit to the State Capitol and it will offer Coloradans who live or work in downtown Denver the opportunity to save a trip to a driver license office. Appointments will not be needed.

“We are excited to be able to help Coloradans DMV next to the State Capitol,” DMV2GO Program Manager Desiree Trostel said. “Whether it’s helping downtown Denverites or rural Coloradans, with DMV2GO we can offer DMV services almost anywhere.”

DMV2GO offers the following services:

  • First time: Colorado Driver License or ID card
  • Out-of-State Transfers
  • Renew: Driver License, Permit, Identification Card,
  • Issue New: Driver License, Permit, Identification Card
  • Motor Vehicle Records
  • Reinstatements
  • Colorado Roads and Community Safety Act services

DMV2GO staff will also provide information on how Coloradans can save and heal lives by registering as an organ, eye and tissue donor through Donor Alliance.

About DMV2GO
With DMV2GO, the DMV can set up pop-up and mobile driver license offices throughout the state, including rural areas where Coloradans might not have convenient access to DMV services. The program currently includes two SUVs and an RV which have everything needed to set up pop-up driver license offices virtually anywhere in the state.

DMV2GO offers Coloradans the same services as a standard driver license office, except  Driving Knowledge tests and endorsement exams. DMV2GO also offers access to online vehicle registration and driver record services as well.
