Renovations more than a facelift at Pueblo Driver License Office

PUEBLO, Friday, May 17, 2019 -- Renovations underway at the Pueblo Driver License Office are more than just a facelift -- they'll reduce wait times and make the office safer.

The refresh, which should be finished by mid-June, includes more service counters, new carpet, fresh paint, the addition of a sidewalk outside the office's east side and security upgrades, including advanced alarms, video cameras and better lighting. While the renovations are being completed, the Pueblo DLO will offer all of its current services.

Once completed, the Pueblo DLO will increase the number of service counters to 14, which is six more than its current total. The renovations will increase the number of Coloradans the office can serve daily and will reduce wait times by making more counters available for driver license services. Additionally, the DMV is in the process of hiring staff to work the additional service counters.
