UPDATE: As of 11:22 a.m., Monday May 1, services have been restored

LAKEWOOD, Monday May 1, 2023 -- The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is currently reaching out to Coloradans who have an appointment at a State Driver License Office today to reschedule their appointment or offer alternative services due to a technical issue impacting all state driver license offices.

Affected services include issuance and renewal of driver license, I.D. card and instruction permits. Services currently available include knowledge tests for instruction permits, endorsements and commercial driver’s license permits, motor vehicle records and requests for a hearing. Online services are not affected by this service outage.

There currently is no timeline for when in-office services will be restored. The DMV will provide updates via its social media pages and DMV.Colorado.gov/locations.

Until the issue is resolved, Coloradans needing DMV services should use myDMV.Colorado.gov to access online services or the myColorado™ app. Additionally, Coloradans can use MV Express Kiosks, which provide an easy and convenient option for Centennial State residents in participating counties to renew their vehicle registrations.

The DMV appreciates Coloradans patience as the Division works with its partners to restore services.
