ONLINE Driver License Renewals for 80+ Drivers
You can renew online with a special vision examination requirement.
Vision requirements
- Special requirement: You must provide a signed Eye Examination Report (Form DR 2498) from an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Find it in our Forms Library here.
- Timeframe: Eye exam must be within 6 months of renewal.
- Process: Report must be uploaded as part of the online renewal application.
- DMV Review: Applications for drivers 80+ require DMV review and approval before completion.
You can also renew in-person. Our driver license technician will conduct a basic eye exam. No additional form is required for in-person renewals. Check out our Renew Your Colorado Driver License, Permit, or ID Card page for more information.
