Colorado DMV Expands “Super Saturday Sprint” to Four Metro Locations; New Round of Limited Appointments Announced

Article Body

Denver – Tuesday, March 31 – Following the successful launch of its weekend service pilot, the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) today announced an expansion of the "Super Saturday Sprint." To further reduce wait times for first-time driver license applicants, the DMV is doubling its participating locations and adding four new service dates this spring.

The DMV will open doors at its Aurora, Centennial, Westgate, and Westminster driver license offices on the following Saturdays:

  • April 4 & April 18
  • May 2 & May 16

By expanding to four regional hubs, the DMV expects to provide relief to thousands of Coloradans who have faced challenges securing weekday appointments.

“The demand for these Saturday slots is incredibly high, and they are expected to be claimed almost immediately,” said Driver Services Director Benjamin Mitchell. “By expanding service locations, we are bringing these essential services closer to where people live and work. While we are thrilled to offer this additional capacity, appointments remain limited, and we encourage everyone to book as soon as the windows open.”

The "Super Saturday Sprint" is part of the DMV’s ongoing commitment to innovation and accessibility. Because these offices are opening specifically for this event, appointments are required.
