LAKEWOOD, Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024 -- The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has resumed full operations after a brief technical issue caused a statewide outage.
All DMV services, including online services, driver license and ID card services at state and county offices, MV Express Kiosk services, county motor vehicle office services, and DMV call centers are now fully operational.
The cause of the outage is still under investigation. The DMV thanks Coloradans for their patience and understanding during the disruption.

Colorado DMV Alerts Public to Data Error on October Vehicle Registration Renewal Cards in Select Counties
LAKEWOOD, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 - The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is notifying the public of a data error in processing vehicle registration renewal cards for registrations expiring in October.
This error resulted in insurance requirements being printed on all October renewal cards, despite insurance not being necessary for all transactions.
DMV collects over 1,100 stuffed animals to comfort children during emergencies
LAKEWOOD, Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024 — The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is excited to announce the success of a staff-led donation drive, bringing comfort to children in crisis through a collection of stuffed animals for use during emergency situations.
The DMV collected 1,118 new stuffed animals at 24 driver license offices (DLOs) across the state as part of the seventh annual KOSI 101.1 Teddy Bear Patrol presented by Smashburger.

Gunnison Driver License Office ready to serve Coloradans with new business hours
LAKEWOOD, July 23, 2024 -- The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is pleased to announce the Gunnison Driver License Office (DLO) is fully open and ready to serve Coloradans with expanded hours.
Now, for the first time ever, the Gunnison DLO is now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a daily closure from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. Previously the DLO was closed on Mondays and Fridays.
