Colorado's 150th-Anniversary License Plate Breaks Sales Records

LAKEWOOD, Tuesday Oct. 3, 2023 — The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) proudly announces that one of the state's 150th-anniversary license plates has set an unprecedented record as the fastest-selling plate in state history. 

In a tribute to Colorado's history and spirit, residents have rushed to display the "Pikes Peak or Bust" plate on their vehicles, with 5,700 license plates ordered in the first two months of availability, surpassing the previous fastest seller, the Broncos Charities plate, which took four months to reach comparable sales. 

myDMV now accepts cryptocurrency as payment for DMV services

LAKEWOOD, Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023 — Coloradans seeking to renew a driver license or vehicle registration online have a new payment option. 

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is pleased to announce that myDMV now accepts cryptocurrency through PayPal for online payments.

Young Drivers Focus of New CDOT Cannabis Campaign

Statewide — The Colorado Department of Transportation rolled out a new young driver education effort focused on the facts and consequences of cannabis-impaired driving. CDOT worked with the Colorado Department of Revenue, Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and certified driving schools throughout Colorado to develop the new initiative.
